How does one so complex, explain oneself in a single sentence?
My bio, hmmh, where do I begin? Well let's keep to the very present, the past will keep itself and I don't want to dwell on it.
I am keeping up this blog as a creative outlet and a way to communicate with my spread out relatives all in one spot. The old "kill two birds with one stone" approach.
I am a thirty-something mom of seven.
I have been married to the same man I started dating when I was sixteen. It has been 16 years now -- good, bad, in between; mostly good!
I homeschooled our children and there is still a little selfish spot in me that would love to send them to a school so I could have more free time! In 2009 we made the decision to send our eldest boys to a charter school and so far so good. What a tough decision to make! Now we are contemplating sending the middle two also.
I have been saved for about ten years now. I have been going to an Assemblies of God church for about 4 years and loving it! I am a bible-believing (all of it, no doubts), hand-raising, tongue-speaking, praise-singing daughter of the King!
I still haven't really gotten around to decorating my home -- it has been 6 years! There are lots of things that have been tried, but with three boys starting the lineup, I am just happy to keep it remotely clean.
I really like Flylady, but lack the ability to get much farther than a morning and evening routine.
In personality tests my friends say I am a strong beaver and then a lion. So that means that I am a crafty, git 'r done kinda gal who focuses on the negative and has a lead, follow or get outta my way approach to life.
I am not the Proverbs 31 woman no matter how hard I try to be! I have too hot of a temper and still have trouble with that word, "submission". Thank God he gave me a man who loves me anyway!
I love to drive fast, with the music blaring and the windows down. I drive the speed limit most of the time especially when the kids are in the car, but we still crank it up!
I want to be a light, especially to young women and teenage girls who are trying to figure out where they fit into life. I have a heart for teenage moms as they have made the ultimate investment into a child's life. I want for this to be a ministry and someday I would love to go to the Middle East and open a home for teens of Islamic backgrounds who have been turned out of their homes for declaring Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
I want to see my kids grow up to have Jesus as their Lord and minister to those in need in whatever location and vocation the Lord places them.
I have some very dear friends who have stuck by me in times when most would have walked away! To the Lord and them I am forever grateful!
well, there is family record keeping -- thanks Creative Memories for a DT chance -- photography -- thank you Lord for blessing me with equipment to pursue this -- quilting/sewing -- writing...the biggest thing that drives me? The forgiveness and love of my savior and wanting to share that with everyone I meet (in person and online)! Lovies,DJ
