Yep. I’ve been gettin' my craft on over here.
A month or so ago I bought a Cricut. It’s an indulgence I have been waiting on for a very long time. I got some cartridges and new blades and a cutting matt. I already had paper and adhesives and stamps and ink pads (no, you don’t need stamps and ink pads to use a Cricut…I just wanted to use them).
The thing I forgot to purchase was time. Yet, somehow, in the last few weeks I have snuck in some time to create these little darlings…
now, hold your horses…I know you all want one but these are my first tries and so…well, what do you think???
I don’t think I ever had to come up with my own card designs, so this is uncharted territory for me…
I mean…I didn’t want them all to look like they came straight from My Pink Stamper…which, without her fabulous tutorials, I wouldn’t have known what to do with that Cricut…
I think this one is my favorite…it just seems so hoppy, er…um…happy!
This one doesn’t quite fit with the whole animal thing, but I wasn’t really thinking about that when I made it…well, here it is anyhow…
So anyhow, I was thinking…with it being Christmas and all, maybe I would do a giveaway…what do you think? Should we do a giveaway?
Oh, please! Let’s do!
All you gotta do to be eligible for a chance to win one of each of design (that’s one card AND an envelope for the card…generous huh?…that’s the kind of gal I am) is….
LEAVE A COMMENT (FB comments will not be counted towards the giveaway)
telling me what you would do with a mismatched set of cards…
would you give them as a gift?
would you *gasp* split them up?
would you keep them all to yourself?
that is unless you are one of those spammers who leaves a mile long comment that has absolutely nothing to do with this post or my blog and in that case I will ruthlessly report your comment as the SPAM that it is and delete you and hope never to hear from you again…
but you my dear sweet reader…you are not a spammer so
LEAVE A COMMENT
and you will be entered to win the cards…
I will announce the winners on Friday, so tell your friends…
Missed you guys!
Lovies!
PS…I should probably note manufacturer information…
The stamp set is from Stampin’ Up and I got it at a garage sale…I should mention the ink pad was from there as well…and can I say that I have four ink pads from them that are still going strong after 13 years of use and by my children too!
The cardstock is from crafts direct…I usually buy the packs of 8.5 x 11 that have 4 coordinating colors in them…I don’t know the maker, but they go on sale a lot, hence the buying. Except the white cardstock which is the ream you can get from Sam’s club.
The Cricut Cartridges used are Animal Kingdom and Walk in My Garden.
I used the Swiss Dots embossing die from Cuttlebug but in the Sizzix embossing boutique thingy. The other embossing dies were from sizzix…I will look them up some time and let you know…but if I leave the computer I won’t get back for a while..
Adhesives were a mix of creative memories and scotch and whatever I had on hand.
It was totally fun and therapeutic!

I am a gift giver! :)
They look fun!

Dawn - those are so cute! I have the same thoughts of wanting to make cards, and have a lot of paper but same as you - the "time" is what always stops me and don't have a Circut(yet). I would keep them for awhile and then send them out, too adorable not to gift!
